The Gumbayan Family

We love to share the stories of our Yesha Families! We asked the Gumbayan Family a few questions about why their family choose Yesha and what it's done to help their family dynamic. Mother and wife, Shayla Gumbayan, tells the story!

"I remember when I was kid taking taekwondo and following the five tenets: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirt. I wanted to instill these core values into my girls. We were introduced to Yesha through our homeschool group.

Yesha has changed our lives through watching our girls become both leaders and have the heart of teaching. I’ve watched my girls persevere from white belt to black belt and all of the challenges they have had to face at each level. Yesha has inspired them to give 100 percent in whatever they do. They've accomplished how to deal with other life challenges because of Yesha. I have been told countless times that they act respectful and more mature than most their age. I have to say, this is one of the biggest advantages that Yesha has provided for my family.

What are your goals for the rest of 2018?

The girls are still training for their 2nd Degree Black Belt and they have assisted Mr. Buck at his new location. On June 1st they are going to demo Yesha at Mayo Clinic with their instructor, Mr. Jason Shuman!"

Here are some of the many people that have inspired their family.
