Featured Instructor: Bernie Rodriguez

Bernie Rodriguez  is 1st Dan Black Belt Senior Instructor.  He is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Middletown, MD Yesha Ministries Tae Kwon Do School.  Bernie has been a member of Yesha Ministries since 2014, following years of studying Taekwondo, Karate, and Aikido.

Bernie started his martial arts practice in New York while living there in 1983 and has been practicing ever since.  He has served in the US Navy for over 28 years and has attended more than five martial schools since he has been in active duty.  He competed nationally in Puerto Rico and won one first place, two second place and 1 third place trophies.  Prior to joining Yesha, Bernie was a second degree black belt in Goju Ryu and a brown belt equivalent in Aikido.  He enjoys sharing his knowledge and experiences with others so they may grow in this sport and life and faith.

Bernie works as an analyst at Fort Detrick Army base Frederick, MD and he is a member of Grace Community Church.   His goal is to keep serving the community and help students achieve their full potential.
